Dream Maker Racing’s Current Offerings

Picking our Dream Maker horses is a dynamic process. Weeks before the auction we spend countless hours going through sales catalogs marking our initial interests based on pedigree. Our geneticist will confirm matings and seek out the best "nicks" concentrating on proven sires and deep stakes caliber female families. Before the big day arrives all of our horses are carefully inspected by our bloodstock team which includes watching them walk, gathering background information and sometimes simply getting a feel for the presence of each horse. After viewing hundreds of horses, the time comes to make a shortlist. Meetings are held with all involved, notes are compared, decisions are made, and the list shrinks, pinpointing our top choices right up until auction day. On the day of the sale, our favorite horses are vetted from head to toe by the top veterinarians in the business. We follow them as they step into the auction ring. The bidding begins, our hearts are pounding, the pressure mounts, will we get the horse of our dreams?

After all the hours we put in, we are able to walk away with the equine athlete we fell in love with and couldn’t be more excited to have.

Aptly named this filly is very quick. She breaks out of the gate like a bullet, pins her ears and doesn't let anybody go by. She will likely take after her very talented mother who was very comfortable winning at Belmont, Aqueduct and Saratoga on the dirt going 6 to 6 1/2 furlongs. Just like her mother she has a very positive and competitive attitude and just loves her job. As you can see the breeding cross works very well and has produced some exceptional horses and we feel that the same is in store for this streamlined bullet of a girl. Again for a strict budget this filly fits the bill and already loves training on the track surface at the Spa!

Get Stormy is known to breed sound horses with tactical speed and longevity. His most popular runner to date is Got Stormy, a multiple Grade 1 winner defeating the boys in the Four-Star Dave at Saratoga. Our filly is a classy specimen with tons of presence and an aggressive competitive nature.  She is a well-balanced horse with a powerful hip and good bone. CONNECT X SUNSET RIDGE

YEARLING COLT

NY BRED COLT + VIRGINIA CERTIFIED + BREEDER’S CUP NOMINATED

Welcome to the introduction of our exciting new racing prospect, offered by Dream Maker Racing! He is a big, strapping colt by the racehorse sire Connect (by Curlin), out of the Stakes-winning and Graded Stakes-producing mare Sunset Ridge. The first foal out of Sunset Ridge, Dolomite, trained by Chad Brown, is already Graded Stakes placed in the Grade 2 $250,000 Demoiselle at Aqueduct as a 2-year-old, and added another Stakes placing this year as a 3-year-old in the $200,000 Fleet Indian Stakes at Saratoga. Dolomite has current earnings of $181,000 in just five starts!

This colt is the second foal out of this young mare, who already looks to be a top-class producer of racehorses. The breeder of this fine athletic specimen raced the dam, who earned over $270,000 with four wins, including a Stakes victory. They breed to race and own Dolomite, as they keep the fillies and sell the colts. This was not a haphazard commercial mating, but a horse carefully bred to be run in NY, from a family of runners.
