Cute Cognac Broodmare Partnership

Cute Cognac - Saratoga 2007

Cute Cognac has all the makings of a broodmare who is on the verge of breaking out. When I say, "break out" I mean she is one step away from being great, and we are going to get her there.

Cute Cognac was a very classy race horse with brilliant turn of foot, and a closing kick of speed that caught everybody by surprise when she reached the wire first. With a classy race record - never out of the money - she had 5 starts, with 3 wins and 2 seconds. She accomplished this all in one year, culminating with a Stakes win to cap off a stellar career.

In the sales ring, she sold her second foal by Tapit (before Tapit was a household name) at the Saratoga Select yearling Sale for $375,000. That foal, later named Tesseron, went on to place in a $200,000 Gr3 stake as a 2yo.

We will let her deliver her baby in KY (This baby will be a Kentucky bred, which pays breeder's awards also), and breed her back to Shanghai Bobby - who also looks to be a break out horse - and then ship her to NY when she is safely in foal to have a NY bred next year. We are currently looking for another Uncle Mo situation with Shanghai Bobby this year, as his 2yo's are already performing above expectations.

Summary:

Cute Cognac is a classy Stakes winner with very high speed and class figures.

She has already sold a yearling for 6 figures.

She is a graded stakes producer.

She is in foal to a first year stallion (Constitution), who is already a very sought after commodity in the sales ring, and who's sales average is over $500,000 for mares selling in foal to him.
