Here is a filly by young stallion sensation, Constitution. A multiple grade one winning son of Tapit, and the Leading Freshman Sire of 2019, Constitution has made a flying start to his stud career.

In his first crop, now three-year-olds, Constitution has already been represented by five graded stakes winners, headed by the spectacular New York-bred Tiz The Law, the leader of his generation with victories in the Belmont Stakes (G1), Travers Stakes (G1), Florida Derby (G1) and Champagne Stakes (G1). He’s also responsible for the three-time graded stakes winning filly, Laura’s Light; for Amalfi Sunset, successful in the Sorrento Stakes (G2); Independence Hall, who took the Nashua Stakes (G2) and Jerome Stakes; By Your Side, winner of Sanford Stakes (G3); and by ten nine other black-type horses, including Alexandria, twice a stakes winner at two in 2020, and the multiple grade one placed Gouverneur Morris.

The dam of this filly, Michele The Great, is a four-time winner and black-type placed performer, by Leading Sire, and outstanding broodmare sire, Distorted Humor. Michele the Great is dam of five multiple winners with her first five starters, among them The Great Samurai, who has earned over $240,000, including three victories in 2020.

Michele The Great is half-sister to stakes placed Nature Healer, and to the dam of stakes winner Crow’s Nest. Her granddam, stakes placed Mintullah, is half-sister to Deltullah, the dam of four-time stakes winner Lombardel, and granddam of stakes winners Lombardel and Love All The Way. Mintullah is out of Bantullah, a half-sister to the Beldame Stakes heroine, Double Delta, the dam of grade one winner Delta Flag and graded stakes winner Double Blush, granddam of stakes winner Meadow Pipit and Stalwart Tsu, and third dam of stakes winners Lucky Pipit, Make Note and Goodday. Bantullah is also half-sister to the dam of the Hopeful Stakes (G1) victor, Eustace.

This filly is bred on the same Tapit/Forty Niner cross as Constitution himself, as well as grade one winner Dancer Card, 2020 juvenile stakes winner Chicks Dig Scars, and stakes winners Closing Bell, My Point Exactly and Chackova. Note that the broodmare sire of her sire (Distorted Humor) is also her own broodmare sire, and this is the same pattern found in the pedigree of Bast, a three-time grade one winning two-year-old of 2019.
